Whirled Peas Now a Labour of Love
From the outset I thought WP was destined for stardom so it was natural for me to stick a few ads on the site. When no revenue came my way I was just as naturally disappointed. Here’s the thing – I don’t think I would have been so let down if I had never put ads on the site in the first place.
Having ads on this blog places a whole load of subconsious pressure to make it ‘work’. I suspect this actually contributes to it not working. Without ads, I can hopefully offer you something free flowing, spontaneous, entertaining and maybe even more useful. I’ll be less constrained… more ‘me’.
What prompted me to remove the ads? It took my spiritual teacher to remind me that if I can afford to do something without asking for money, I should. It confuses everything and creates uinnecessary baggage.
I know this will translate into making the goal of WP even more realistic – helping new vegetarians and vegans achieve their dietary goals easily and with a minimum of fuss.
What I will do instead of placing ads for books is give you the links to the best place to buy them, hopefully with the writers themselves.
